A dental bridge is made up of at least 3 artificial teeth (for a single tooth they are called crowns or caps). Dental bridges are used to hide the missing teeth in your smile.

about dental bridges

What is a dental bridge?
The pillars of the bridge are your existing teeth on each side of the missing one(s). There is a fake tooth in the middle. These false teeth can have a metal or a metal-free frame, but in both cases they will be covered in white porcelain. A dental bridge helps you with chewing, speaking and also prevents the remaining teeth from moving away.

When and why do I need a dental bridge?
Dental bridges are recommended to replace missing teeth. Losing a tooth can result in chewing difficulties, speaking problems and later on it can even change the structure of your face.
Missing teeth can be replaced by dental implants as well, but in case of not having the satisfactory bone quality or if you simply do not want to have an implant, dental bridge can be a quicker and more cost effective way to restore your smile.

What are the pros and cons of a dental bridge?
Having a dental bridge can save time and money. Getting used to your new dental bridge is usually easy and comfortable. The main disadvantage, compared to dental implants, is that your own teeth will be filed down, even if they are still healthy. If a healthy tooth is treated, it cannot be restored to its original state.

I am EXTREMELY nervous of dentists, to the point where I start crying just sitting in the waiting room. Everyone at Vital Europe was so lovely, both in the UK and in Budapest and they managed to make what I was building up to be a horrific experience, into one that I won't say I enjoyed - because I hate dentists, (sorry Vital Europe) but that I dealt with, with the minimum amount of fuss and tears. I had my top two front teeth crowned as they were discoloured, and now, have a near perfect smile again. I normally have to be properly sedated to have a dentist even approach me, however unfortunately, that was not an option as they needed me to be coherent and agree on shape and shading. Answer, I was given two sedative tablets an hour before each appointment which took the edge of everything. I've just been for my first check up in London after my crowns were put in, (minus sedative tablets), and again, everyone was so kind and patient, despite me getting the appointment time wrong. I cannot praise all at Vital Europe enough and will be going to them for any dental treatment I need in the future. Thank you everyone at Vital Europe in London and BudapestPosted on Googlekristin milward26. October, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
I was treated with exceptional care and kindness throughout my treatment with VitalEurope. The dentistry itself was first class and conducted at a speed that would never happen in the UK. The result was that I was able to have all the work - which included the making and fitting of three new crowns - done within a week. I have nothing but praise for the dental staff and the wonderful people on reception. Thank you all so much.Posted on GoogleJean-Hugues Jousset21.
